'The Lowercase a-Team'

Funny Site of the Day -- "The Lowercase a-Team can help you with any problem, big or small ... but they prefer small," promises host Break.com.

The video contains a tiny -- well, of course -- bit of explicit content.

Beyonce Music Video Parody: 'Wrinkled Ladies'

Funny Site of the Day -- Seen on YouTube: "Anita Renfroe feels that Beyonce may have left out a category of women who need some recognition and sends out this parody to women of a certain age who aren't afraid to shake it like a Polaroid pick-cha."

Cracked.com

Funny Site of the Day -- This is not your writer's "Cracked" (and I'm not your grandfather, by the way). Decades ago, the newstand monthly was a pale copycat of "MAD" magazine, the humor publication geared to adolescents.

Today, Cracked.com has grown-up just a bit to include much more sexual and profane material. Think of it as college humor and dive-in to a big resource of online comedy. Articles, Videos, Columnists, a Forum, and -- golly! -- Craptions are the order of the day.

"The Fastest and Funniest LEGO 'Star Wars' Story Ever Told"

Funny Site of the Day -- Most people would probably agree the original "Star Wars" trilogy is an amazing spectacle, but most of them probably haven't seen the same tale told in two minutes and LEGOs!

Watch and listen to some blockhead kid "with one heck of a LEGO collection."

That's incredible!

JibJab: 'Star Wars' Starring You!

Funny Site of the Day -- "May the 4th be with you" is so yesterday. Let's move forward, people, it's May the 5th.

And what could be cooler than appearing front and center in remakes of "Star Wars" movies. Thanks to the animated JibJab masters, you can see the finished results in a few minutes from now. You and your friends will be the heroes of "The Empire Strikes Back," free.

As they say in outer space, "Golly."

"A New Hope" and "Return of the Jedi," starring you, require a paid JibJab membership.

'Seinfeld' Horror Trailer

Funny Site of the Day -- We didn't start out to have a "Seinfeld" weekend, but the bits just keep on coming, as seen in this frightful spoof of the modern horror film genre, mashed-up with reedited footage from a certain sitcom.

No one is safe while a serial Kramer is on the loose.

'Seinfeld' Movie Trailer: 'George'

Funny Site of the Day -- Here's one of those TV sitcom coincidences occurring in real life. I featured "Daily Seinfeld" less than 24 hours ago and now this new "Seinfeld" movie trailer has splashed itself across my monitor.

And it's just not right. Comic schlub George Costanza's life has been recut into a fuzzy, Hollywood drama.

--*Gasp!* "George" might even be a chick flick!

Add schmaltzy music to cleverly reedited "Seinfeld" footage with Jason Alexander and Heidi Swedberg as Susan, and you have an emo weepfest.

Add a red nose and it might even be "Patch Adams 2!"

Nahhh, but we can scream, cant we?

Fake AP Stylebook

Funny Site of the Day -- Way back, when I was in Journalism school, during those antiquated days where we were taught to be adamantly objective in our reporting-- Oh! How dear and quaint we were in ye olde-fashioned times!

Anyway, we were also taught style. Proper journalism style includes chain-smoking cigarettes, swigging gin, and following the rules of grammar as depicted in either the UPI or AP Stylebooks. I've consulted both over the years, but they cost money and gin ain't cheap.

Thanks to the Fake AP Stylebook, hosted by Twitter, a steady flow of the dictates, which do change in contemporary circumstances, are presented for free. Ta ta, Associated Press.

Readers do not have to be active Twitter followers to access the instructional material, but I find it helpful to have those valuable tweets sent directly to me. My writing has improved exponentially with the Fake AP's tips and guidance, such as:

  • The word "asshat" is vulgar and should be avoided. Use "butt bonnet."

  • Gary Coleman doing something crazy is not news. That's just a Tuesday.

  • "Weather Bureau" is no longer in use. Instead, use "National Weather Service" or "Those Freakin' Liars."

  • Be sure not to confuse "aural" and "oral." The former is very uncomfortable.

  • You know what? F**k it, just add "'s" to everything.

Some material contains explicit language, but you want to learn, don't you?

'The Onion' - America's Finest News Source

Funny Site of the Day -- "America's Finest News Source," as it is branded, is exactly that, if you prefer your information to be expertly fake. And who doesn't?

The most imitated humor on the Internet is currently honored with a Webby Award nomination in the humor category. "The Onion's" satirical style traffics in a journalism based on truth and fantasy, while steeped in a bias slanted always to laughter. The content can be mean-spirited, vulgar, politically incorrect, and unflinching in mining its themes, but, then again, some stories are simply silly -- a joyful news.

Our Dumb WorldHomeland Insecurity: The Onion Complete News Archives, Volume 17 (Onion Ad Nauseam)
Newspaper-style articles are the prime focus, although clever videos, funny pictures, editorials, and cartoons are to be found in the mix with an emphasis on Sports, Politics, World, Local, Economy, Sci/Tech, Radio, and Entertainment. Several I've eyed to investigate: "Opening Staff Rails Against Incompetence Of Closing Staff," "Most Men Are Too Intimidated To Date A Successful, Educated Gorgon," and "New Six Flags Ride Based On Relationship With Deborah."

For true pop culture news, interviews, and opinions, don't miss "The Onion's" The A.V. Club sister pages, accessible from the main site.

CollegeHumor

Funny Site of the Day -- Their slogan, "Funny videos, funny pictures, funny links!" pretty much sums up CollegeHumor, a gigantic aggregation of Internet comedy and site originals. Throw in a heavy dose of sexual content and sophomoric snark to complete the youthful approach. As you might expect, some material is unsuitable for work or class.

CollegeHumor is a Webby Awards nominee for humor.

Harvard Sailing Team: 'Boys Will Be Girls' / 'Girls Will Be Boys'

Funny Site of the Day -- The New York sketch comedy troupe has produced a pair of opposite videos, as an entry in what we used to call The Battle of the Sexes. I'm not certain what we call the bubbling conflict now. The UN Sanctions on the Sexes?
