'Red Eye w/ Greg Gutfeld'

Funny Site of the Day -- My first reaction to TV's "Red Eye," having clicked into it late, late, early, early one morning was, "What the--? How in the world did this show get on the air?"

Soon, I was hooked and finding reasons to stay out of bed until three o'clock rolled around for the nightly panel of celebrities and pundits, party chatting on current events and pop culture. All involved are commissioned with the solitary task of making each other laugh. Voices from across the political spectrum join host Greg Gutfeld for outrageous stories, audacious insults, sexual innuendo goodness, and improbably precious animal footage.

Surprising cable outlet, the Fox News Channel, presents the program. A multitude of video highlights clips are posted and updated regularly at the official online home, or you may skip over to Hulu to view complete recent episodes.

If you can't lurk in the dark until near dawn to catch the series over the air, set your DVR to record the infectious festivities. They hold up well to lunch, part of my daily nutrition.

Shaun the Sheep

Funny Site of the Day -- Aardman Animations, the excellent stop-motion cartoon makers and business partners of superstars Wallace and Gromit, has another fine, lighthearted series underway for television. Meet Shaun and his homies, invites Aardman:

Shaun is a sheep who doesn’t follow the flock – in fact, he leads them into all sort of scrapes and scraps, turning peace in the valley into mayhem in the meadow. Shaun and his pals run rings around their poor sheepdog Bitzer, as he tries to stop the Farmer finding out what’s going on behind his back. The show also introduces a farmyard-full of new characters, including the Naughty Pigs, Timmy the baby lamb and the enormous Shirley, a sheep who eats anything and everything.

At the official Shaun the Sheep site, there's sheer fun found in the numerous video clips. Grab some goodies like email cards and desktop wallpapers. Steve Martin in 'The Absent-Minded Waiter'

Funny Site of the Day -- In 1977, during the phenomenal popularity of the stand-up comedy by Steve Martin, the performer took time from his gushing stardom to write and headline in this 7-minute short subject about a totally mental food server. The project received little distribution from Paramount Pictures, but it eventually became Steve's secret weapon concert warm-up, shown before he took the stage.

Prominent actors Buck Henry and Teri Garr add comic heft as the bumbler's diners.

Portland's Kamp Grizzly developed a steam-punk style pneumatic cupcake cannon and set the stage for eating frosty delights at 120psi. The blasting buffet was documented in at 700fps coming off the Phantom HD Gold. As the evening shook down, cupcake enthusiasts continued to step in front of the cannon and camera. Some shaking in their boots, others perched in zen-like states, ALL were covered in delicious frosting, spongy cake, and showered in a mist of sprinkles."
